Description LOS ANGELES, CA- The UCLA Department of World Arts and Cultures/Dance presents Intersections-the department’s Senior Projects Showcase with student performances and presentations in the Glorya Kaufman Dance Theater at 3:00 and 8:00 p.m. on Fri. May 26th and Sat. May 27th. Exhibitions of student work will also be on display (at different areas of Kaufman Hall) before and after the live programs.

There are two different ticketed programs (A and B), each of which will be presented on Friday and repeated on Saturday. On Friday, Program A begins at 3:00 p.m. and Program B at 8:00 p.m. On Saturday the order is reversed: Program B starts at 3:00 p.m. and Program A at 8:00 p.m. Each program is ticketed separately. Tickets are $6, and may be purchased at UCLA’s Central Ticketing Office (310-825-2101 or www.tickets.ucla.edu) or the Kaufman Hall Box Office prior to the show. The Glorya Kaufman Dance Theater is located in Glorya Kaufman Hall at the UCLA, 120 Westwood Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90095. Pay Parking is available beside Glorya Kaufman Hall in Parking Structure Lot 4.

INTERSECTIONS-WACD Senior Projects Showcase 2017 highlights the creativity of 23 graduating seniors in the World Arts and Cultures/Dance department. This multidisciplinary program includes presentations ranging from dance, spoken word, and musical performances to film, visual art exhibitions, arts ethnography, and community engagement. These culminating projects provide WAC and Dance students with the opportunity to engage in exploratory processes of art making and intellectual inquiry, and to traverse the boundaries between individual creative expression, cross-cultural understanding, and social activism.
